Warm Australia misses the NE
Dear all, Although I am rather far away, Yorkeys Knob Northern Australia, I have not forgotten my lovely forum. Beautiful weather here, wind is not as amazing as i would have liked but it is just the begining of the windy season. I must say, Masskiting.com you are one cool social network, not only did you hook me up with kite partners, friends, and a hottie German, but you are way better then any aussie forums. Hopefully i will post pics soon. One month down and then 11 more, and im off to western OZ!! Miss you all and hope all is well. Also, i keep hearing the haunting noise of a flying monkey. It could be because they exist here or im just going crazy!!

You're gunna love west Oz.
The best season for WA is dec jan feb - make sure you bring your small kites (like 7s and 10s) When you get there try to stay around the cities like fremantle and perth. Best flat water spot is Woodmans pt in Coogee (10min outside of Fremantle). Closest but not best wave spot is Scar just slightly north of Perth. I recommend getting a van and camp it because taking the train/bus to these spots gets old.
Make sure you go to Kitestock and Core Jam in Jan. By far the best!
Also visit:
Exmouth - Miles of beach with no one around! Dolphins up by Monkey Mia
Margret River - by far the best scene - check out bootleg brewery
Albany- Chilly (bring your 3/2) but some of the buttery flattest water - dolphins like hanging there too.
Mandurah - Awesome flat water - few places that work on an East wind other than the river
Super friendly people there - PM me if you are looking for people to explore WA with. Im not going back this season but a lot of my friends will be there november - march to teach/kite/drink.

Yeah we have had some rockin' good times on and off the water! Um now I hear the flying monkey.. Well the movie is just about a wrap and we are planning a get together. So we should skype you in, but last I checked Australia is a bit reverse in there time selections. But you have to keep us up to date with global kiting! Hope to see you soon!
