5 Great White Sharks Sighted Off Chatham

Channel 7 is reporting that 5 great white sharks have been sighted within a mile of lighthouse beach at Chatham. Town is considering closing beaches. Remember Jaws?? Be careful body dragging.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. The Oregon coast has a shit load of great white's. It's almost a right of passage to ride at the oregon coast and see one while your out there. I saw a 12' on the outside last year on the southern oregon coast. Even still with all those sharks and the ten of thousands of kiters and surfers that hang out past the break every year there has only been one shark attack in 40 years and it was not deadly. You have a better chance of hitting the lottery and getting hit by lightning on the same day.

Looks like the sharks is waiting for tomorrow since will be windy in the cape
