Here's a quick clip of my son Alex (will be 10 in December). He weighs only around 70. Was in PA (landlocked) over Thanksgiving decided to bring the Hydra in case there was some wind..turns out was very windy on the 27th and 28th.

I let Alex try the kite (he's used it before in much lighter wind)..he could control it, but the wind was a bit too much. This is a fun kite to play around with, but you definitely want someone to help you land it in high wind. Wink

I think he and I will have some fun when he gains some weight. Smile

OK, good habit... tell him to

OK, good habit... tell him to lean back more when overpowered. Get his weight into it. if he can, keep his shoulders back, arms bent.

Also, when he dips the kite down to the edge of the window... tell him to turn it sharp in the other direction, have it fly directly through the center of the window, and he will be hooked for sure! Laughing out loud

The second your son's feet leave the ground from a kite... priceless. Seals the deal. works better on a beach with sand to pad the fall Wink

Yep

He didn't last long enough for instruction. Smile...and it is certainly better on a beach.

The first time he tried the kite he was off the ground..I had to remind him to let go of the bar.
