It will be broken
Keep an eye on Luderitz this weekend. I think we will see l'hydroptere's 51.36 500m record fall to a kiter. Have to admit though the record is impressive considering the wind speed, but how much money was spent?
For those who haven't seen this craft check it out:
L'hydroptere is just an awesome machine. Alain Thebault has been refining the concept for over 20 years and it is really starting to show. Just today they set a new record of 50.17 knots over a nautical mile. The guys who sail that thing are maniacs.... they pitchpoled at close to 60 knots last year and went right back to record attempts after repairing her!
As cool as it would be to see a kite go faster, the amount of work that has gone into this project, and the fact that it is truly an ocean going vessel makes it one of my favorites!
That is crazy I never realized they had a new type of craft. Thanks for sharing looks like allot of fun! I am telling my dad to get a faster boat but the sunfish is totally chill and classic
you gotta be a froggy to do this shit
As if the French fry wasn't enough.
I think I saw the mohawked Canadian on the bough on the video!LOL
