I haven't tried this out yet, but it looks pretty cool so figured i'd post for everyone to see......

New Free Desktop Wind Application

September 22, 2009 – WeatherFlow announces the release of a new application for monitoring real-time wind conditions world-wide: iwindsurf/ikitesurf Desktop app!

Features include:

The Desktop application uses the new WeatherFlow Weather Engine. This engine is designed to enable rapid development and implementation of new weather products as well as expands the service beyond North America (it also fills in a lot of holes inside North America). Similar to the new iphone application, this first release focuses on real time observations but the team is hard at work bringing more of the great features from "classic" iWindsurf/iKitesurf.com into the application such as over 50,000 forecast spots, forecast maps, Meteorologist forecasts, and much more! The best part... the application is FREE to download and use.
