this is a very early warning, but SAVE THE DATE

SPI KITE ROUND-UP 2010 is on track for MAY 1-9, 2010

new website will be up soon, and look for mag ads and web ads coming later this winter

this years theme is: Bigger and Better

BIGGER INDUSTRY WIDE PRODUCT DEMO
BETTER (and more) PROFESSIONALLY HOSTED INSTRUCTIONAL CLINICS
BIGGER EVENT SITE SETUP
BETTER CONTESTS (and prizes)
BIGGER PARTIES
BETTER SLIDER PARK (way better)

we're working hard to put it together and line up some good lodging deals for everyone too, so check the new website when it goes live!

old website got hacked (bummer) but we threw a little page up with a small recap of last years event.

www.spikiteroundup.com

if you had a good time last year, post it up!

also, if you have suggestions or input about what you would like to see in this years event, this is the time to let us know, our team of experts will review all ideas at our Round-up-Table and laugh heartily as we toss them out one after another.

email:

(or post em up)

I missed it last year but it seems to be a really cool event. More focused on the visitors and not on the pro's

I was pissed when I realized that its the same week then our trip to Hatteras. A lot of us will be down there.

Good Event

I have been to this twice. Great event. SPI is a perfect locale for a kite events b/c there is so much space and huge launch sites that if you want to get away from the events for a break to uncrowded spots, there are plenty of options(unlike the BVIs or Caberete events). At the time of year of this event the lagoon is about 80 degrees and the ocean is just over 70 degrees. The ONLY problem with SPI is that it is in Texas!
