Wed. 8/26/09 on the cape
Hey guys It's been awhile since I've seen many of you. Work has had me tied up but I'm taking off early tomorrow to get some much needed kiting in. I was wondering if anyone is planning to head out tomorow. I'll be spending the night around hyannis and Kalmus beach(can only kite after 5)nice beach but I think it's side on there. Not sure if I can check this thread to see responses before I leave so feel free to shoot me a text or call me (551)-804-0832 probably going to be down there around 4.

Morning session was great! Finally able to stay upwind and able to ride out in the open Nantucket sound in the waves (a challenge for a newb)..
Also attempting my first airs and got 4' and traveled about 25'... What a rush!!
Even Doctor Robot, the working class hero, showed up for an hour in the late afternoon as the winds were rather good Wednesday. However, due to the full sun, the waters were unusually crowded for a Wednesday with hard-ons either on party boats or kite boards.
My daughter and I had a great day off of Chatham. We hired a boat to take us out to some of the better spots and enjoyed the day almost thoroughly. The only bummer for the day was the rather large window that opened up in the center of my kite at the end of the day (it was a day ender).
maybe that guroo 9 or 12 is the answer after all
I'll keep the offer of a 9 meter in mind. For now I am looking to see if Ozone will step up and do the right thing in terms of service on their kites. The kite that broke was an 8 meter 2009 Instict Light in its second day of service. It tore just as I dipped it into the power zone of the window. So far I have gotten the official, "we use the finest materials and have the best QC in the industry" talk from the US distributor as well as an invitation to mail the kite to their warranty / repair center. We will see how it turns out.

good luck with the repair, I hear ozones are very nice kites. guroo would defintely not compare.
Your boat trip sounds like fun.

Let's see. First, these were kites you bought because you were going to visit more wave sites, especially a secret spot on the south shore. Then you were going to sell them in that someone has been tightening your leash. However, the lure of increased monetary gain made the prospect of donating them to the Ch. 2 Auction more attractive. Are we getting jerked around?
