2/1/09 Lucy Vincent Beach Sunset Sesh
Ok so I think you all can appreciate what it must be like for my wife when it is a warm, windy day and I am not on the water. It's absolute hell for her! I am such an imature sour puss, especially when I get her to come with me at noon and the wind is too westerly and none of my good spots are going off. So reluctantly I come home and start cooking my ribs for the Super Bowl. Well at 3:47 she asks me if I want to go for a walk...."NO I want to go kiting" To which she responds "OK lets go"
I pause and look at her expecting a smirk which tells me she is only teasing. But no she is serious. I quickly scramble to grab everything I had discarded earlier. Fourteen minutes later I am in the parking lot at Lucy Vincent putting on the drysuit. I know I only have about an hour of daylight left so I need to hustle.
Within 8 minutes I am dressed and rigged. My wife with 8 month old child in the backpack gives me a launch and the pictures tell the rest.
I was only out for a few but it was incredible. I had the entire south shore of the Vineyard to myself and I took full advantage of it.
Thank you Mother Ocean and thank you to my wife Sheylah not only for watching my back but for taking some great photos.

Setting up for one last run.
