Ok,

so I haven't ridden in what feels like forever. I was thinking about leaving work around noon and getting a session in. Anyone game? NOAA shows a west wind 14/15 gusting to 20....I'm still work'n on staying up wind so a little newbie friendly would be great. cheers

OMG I hate leaving a man disappointed.. anyone?? I am such a 9-5 sucker.. Miss my self-employed days! But either way I am a sales guy and "money talks!!"

Re: Anyone have the afternoon off?

as long as I am home by 6pm I can leave now.... obviously somewhere local is better..
...by land, water, or snow I go and if it rained fish I'd ride them too.

Re: Anyone have the afternoon off?

I'd prefer Nahant as it might be more side-ish and tolerance while Revere looks like direct on.... yeah that Florida guy and seeing Jermy lofted has me more conscience...

anyone in meet at Nahant asap....

Up just past Dunkin Donuts is side on and very user friendly. I think it might be a little windier than Nahant too as there is a bit of a funneling effect in Revere Bay.

Re: Anyone have the afternoon off?

if Brock says Revere then it's Revere as I'd challenge you at darts but not anything wind or water related!

leaving now...for Revere

Re: Anyone have the afternoon off?

Yes we did and we enjoyed beautiful darkness. I got out a little earlier than the other guys and had the whole bay to myself. It was really nice low tide so the water was only about a foot deep at the most. There was small 1 foot waves that were fun for playing on. I was decently lit on my 12 and was able to work on a few backroll tansitions. I even nailed afew which felt good.
It was great to meet BDL I felt bad as he rigged up including untangling lines but it got dark before he gothis kite in the air.

Re: Anyone have the afternoon off?

JD,

i'm even staying a little upwind on my 128. I think that I might try moving my kite straps onto may wake board and give it a shot (137). Hopefully the bit more length will help esp. in lighter winds. I might try and make it out tomorrow or sunday, but i'm not sure i've really got the gear for 50 deg water, or the skills for the wind they are calling for...

cheers.

Re: Anyone have the afternoon off?

Maybe not Ben as the wake style board has lots of rocker!! The upwind enemy. Cutting plywood would actually work to shock you!

Rocker is the curve of the board.
