Anyone know a good place to take lessons in South Florida/Miami Area
I have a friend who asked me if I knew any places to take a kiting lesson near Miami. I know a bunch of yall have spent time down there so anyone know anything??
Thankssssssss
the kitehouse in miami can take your buddy out to the biscane bay flats for good lessons or action sports maimi does lessons at crandal park but i would suggest getting out on the flats, i also think ty lucket from the OBX is in maimi for winters
Rafi, There's a school that also operates from Crandon Park but buyer beware. I've seen them try to give lessons in extremely light wind days there but when there is wind I'm sure they are pretty good but I have to agree with John. Ty Lucket has been kiting since the beginning and I met him in 2000 when he first started out in Hatteras. The flats are probably the best place to learn down there. Ty has takes you out to the flats in a boat so wind direction doesn't matter there.
T recommended you try Skybandits..
They are a Wainman Hawaii shop so tell em about me
I'm staying in Boca Raton in April. I'm looking at South Florida Kiteboarding, or East Coast Kiteboarding for my IKO level 2 & 3 lessons. They both do lessons north of Miami in shallow flat water.
Does anyone have any experience with either of these schools?
I'll be in Boca April 7th - 10th for kiting. I was debating lessons as I'm still a real newb. I would also appreciate finding out others experience down there.
I think Ty no longer goes down to Miami. I think he is now a year round resident of the Outer Banks.
He is very good and I recommend him highly. If he is available, he should be your first choice.
I'll be at the Boca Beach Club April 8-13. I'm flying in on the 8th late after work. I'm planning to take two 3 hour lessons while I'm down there.
If you want to partner up on a lesson, we can save some cash doing a semi-private.
