Hi Willy,
You seem to be kiteboarding guru 
...
So I have a trivial question, what does people mean when they say the kite has a lot of grunt? I am not so up on the kiteboarding lingo...can you enlighten me

Grunt is like torque is for a car. Low end power. Grunt is good for bigger guys and for ripping you out of the water.

Hi Willy,
Yes, I would be very much appreciated to meet with your friend for a tour. Of course I want to keep the peace with the "locals" there. Kiting suppose to be fun and relaxing. Last thing I want is to have someone screaming at me on my weekend. Always better to make friends and help each others.
How do we arrange to meet up with him?

my buddy jeff in Dux offered to take us for a tour oversand with your new stickers. Tread Lightly is how he put it. He may come across as Angry Man when you first meet him but he's a local and has worked with the authorities to keep kiting allowed out there. Better off to meet him and his crew with an old friend, like me, than to have a confrontation where he may say just Go Home.
Access to places like Dux are a privilege and it's everyone's responsibility not to screw it up.
GRUNT is like the low end yank on a kite. old slingshot C kites, we used to say "pulls like a truck" meaning it has plenny of YANK coming out of the hole, doing transitions etc.Real had a t shirt, getting pulled behind an 18 wheeler.or was that "Flying R truckstop" ???
