I have been out on the lakes and have watched the water come up on the ice from cracks or icefishing holes. At first the slush was only 50' or so from the holes but now it is more spred out. If you come into this slush try to get out and avoid because with the cold temps and the light powder things tend to ice up. If the bottom of your skiis/board get iced you are pretty much done. Had this happen to me yesterday and it was a real "drag", the slower I went the more ice formed on my skiis the heavier they got. By the time I stopped my skiis must have weighed 25-30 lbs. This can be avoided with a fresh tune and a nice sprayed and rubbed layer of WD-40, I swear by this. I have been out so much that I haven't tuned in awhile so I am taking care of this now. Think I am going to find some land today. Don't forget the WD-40. Laughing out loud
