Still chillin hatteras!

So the party rolls on. The second session here day two was out of control the wind was over 20+ we rode and we rode the sun was out and it was 79 degrees. Its beautiful here and the house is such a playground. Time is slipping away a bit as people are going every which way! I mean you turn around and you can't control it people are going to the beach, mile marker 46, mile marker 48, real slick, or kitty hawk. Yeah and that is not even a list its the order here in Hatteras. You can leave AVon which is where we are staying and can just go! You tell a buddy your destination or thumb a ride. So its out of control today we went from mile marker 46 to 48 and then about 5 miles to Real for end of session meet up. But after Bluefunelement and Travis kept going! To where??? Well when the sun goes down the kiters drift out to the roads. We picked up a few! Cars get stranded and keys get seperated and all the while other people have other kite or party agendas.

Hatteras 09! MASSkiting is representing in style and we have been stopped abou the T-shirts and have made connections because of it! One good memory was sitting about 15 deep in the theater here watching kite videos cheering each and every pass of a friend. I mean right now the we are watching big wave video while eatring steak in a 1000sqft room totally wired! Yesterday the police thought the pool speakers a bit much lol! But meanwhile I slept through the house down the street burning down! Then Eastkb had a party while I was taosted.

Today I did 10 miles and I learned to ride blind, big boosted backrolls, railey to surface handle pass, and how to manage a batallion of friends accross a landscape of kites through a region called "Planet of the apes" meaning dont break down there is nothng but bush and one road you cant get to!

The worst today was not having any way to take pictures. But so many funny things have happened and even more crazy occurances..

Best part of MASSkiting is that we have all helped make this happen. We travel well together! We are considerate, helpful, and have shared the choirs. My friends have been very giving too and the fridge is stocked, beer is plentiful and yah know... I am not sure who is counting.. best is no one cares, reciprocity is here with this group and getting a T-shirt run to me when I freezing or a beer thoughtfully handed to me I am sharing my greatist organized kite adventure! MASSkiting is very much alive in Hatteras this year and this may be only the beginning!
