Chooch... gonna get a Joke. 175-180lbs, prolly normal bindings. go with the 138 or the 142? I know you use teh 138... have you tried the 142?

I ride a 142 with boots, I'm

I ride a 142 with boots, I'm 175 lbs and the 142 and 138 both wrok great for me. Never ride any twin tips with fins, much more fun finess IMHO. The channels/molded fins give you plenty of added grip.

If your riding straps go with the 134 or 138. If you plan on riding boots at all get the 138.

Straps but thinking about

Straps but thinking about boots. I ride with heel straps now and would with the Joke. I miss my 135 Blunt badly, but always thought I could go bigger. Plus I could feel the landings more... My biggest reason to get this thing is for softer landings on my knees. Psyched!!

The Kiteboarder Review of the Blunt 2

http://www.thekiteboarder.com/2011/03/wainman-blunt-2-analyze-this-board-review/

It's a magazine review so take it with a grain of salt. Best thing to do is try one for yourself

I found it too short for

I found it too short for waves, which is why I opted for the Mako 150X40.

Any input on how the 2010

Any input on how the 2010 Blunt 130 rides?  I'm looking for a do all board but especially want to ride in chop and waves without getting spit in my eye and without riding the back leg constantly to get the front tip up over the chop.  I'm sure the Blunt is great in flat water but I'm thinking it might be too short and flat to be really good in the bumps.  Is this a board that would be happy at Corporation, Horseneck, etc.?

First off what are your specs? (weigth, height)

If your looking for a board to eat up the chop check out the Joke. The 2" rocker line keeps the spray out of your face and allows you to keep the nose up effortlessly in the chop. Blunt is good in flat water and small wind chop where the Joke eats up just about everything.

....and JD is right 130 is too small for chop/small wave riding. Something in the 134-140cm range is what to look at. You will notice that companies are no longer making small boards (120-129 cm). This is due to the fact that kite tech (high depower)  allows for a bigger board to be ridden. Small boards were only made out of necessity cuz kites couldn't depower enough to handle a proper sized board.

Weight 160, height 5-10.

Weight 160, height 5-10.  Don't ask my age.

Thanks for the input, Jean too.  I heard something about longer boards helping in waves.  Your replys confirm it.  The 2" rocker on the Joke sounds great for chop.

Size

At 5' 10" 160 I would say your right on the edge of the 134 or 138 Joke. I would lean to the 138cm, the extra length adds more effective edge for better pop and a little extra plaining ability (the 2" or rocker will make it feel like a smaller board).
