Come to the Masskiting Hatteras 2010 Movie Premiere
After much anticipation by all MASSkiters, Jean Dunoyer’s new 20 minute film of our 2010 Hatteras NC trip is ready to be released. Those who were with us this past spring will remember the number of cameras that were constantly rolling and lets just say the resulting video represents what MASSkiting is all about and the true spirit of our community. It also represents the future of MASSkiting and where this community is going.
And where we are going is back to Hatteras first week of May 2011. You will be able to browse the 3 houses we have rented and get dibs on the room you want -- 2 houses in Avon Sound side and 1 Oceanfront house in Frisco, the ocean downwinder terminus! To be clear, bring your check book or cash. Several of us have already put out the cash for the houses and nothing but cash or check will reserve you a spot.

Start time 7pm end time Midnight when all interested parties will head to the bars to continue the party.
This is going to be a great night and all are welcome even if you do not think you can make next years Hatteras trip. Come out, party hearty, meet the other MASSkiters, and get psyched for next years trip!

Hatteras MASSkiting Movie
The movie was a smashing success! The crowd participation will not be forgotten! Opening night Jean got to see everyones reaction to a video he put allot of heart into. I was very impressed to see one of his videos having 40+ people reacting to its various surprises and laughs. That experience only happens once and glad you all could make it. Thank you again to Howudoin for his hospitality, Jean for the rockin video and Hatteras planning, and Jermy and Eric for helping with the room selections and planning for next year.
Thank you Chris too! You planned last year and the prior. You really gave us the momentum for these great Hatteras trips!
My take on the video is that its about the average rider and documents the MASSkiting experience. While other productions might feature pros and competitions I am proud to see a video about passion and community! Very moving!
Who ever has pictures can you please create an "event report" for Hatteras please. Kitefurr you should have a few great ones of the screening

Details regarding allocation of space for Hatt 2011
Party agenda:
7PM meet and greet
8PM screen movie
9PM choose rooms
Midnite, head to the bars...
Ocean front house has 5K, 2Q, 4 bunks - near the Frisco Fish Pier, 10 minutes from Avon where the Sound side houses are
Sound front house has 6K, 1Q, 8 bunks, and 2 doubles - it is on the same beach as in 2010.
Sound Side house has 11K, 4 bunks - it is a short board walk to the 2010 beach.
PRICING
King = $500 maximum double occupancy
Queen = $450 maximum double occupancy
Double = $250 this is a room with 2 double beds, this is the price per bed.
Bunk = $150 per bunk
Overflow = $150 will only be sold once the houses are all full.
added meal/booze tax per person = $200 - Breakfast lunch and dinners will be pooled with this money for the entire week.
Rooms can only be reserved if a check for the full amount is in hand.
A lottery will be held that night to determine a pecking order for room choice, which will then be determined by looking at the floor plan. After that, it will be first paid, first served.
Jean will administer the Ocean Front house
Jeremy and Eric will administer the Sound side houses
Bring your check book!!! You can send a proxy if you want a room and you cannot make the party.

Have rubber padded all the walls and ready to roll out the red carpet for the premier. I'll admit to taking a sneak peak at the movie, and besides Dunoyer's producing talents clearly being displayed, I feel as if a couple of awards for best actors in a drunken comedy, best costume design, best original musical, best dance direction, etc are in order! This was an Oscar worthy trip, and one in which a plethora of sequels is required! Looking forward to seeing you all (even those who might not have made the 2010 trip, remember, this is your chance to get caste in the 2011 sequel!),

Thanks everyone for coming and being such an enthusiastic audience for my new film, and to all of you who allowed us to film you and create the cast of characters that is Masskiting. Lets make more movies!
I will post the movie in two parts in the coming days - my system has a fair amount of number crunching to do in the meantime.
