Hi all,

Since the tradition must be continued I’m introducing myself to the crew :_)

I’m Den and I live in Chelmsford, MA and new to kiteboarding, I’ve taken some lessons already that covered: trainer Kite, inflammable kite, launching, landing and all those stuff that must be understood for your “OUR” own safety..

So my goal is to hook up with some folks around Boston to get more familiar with places to practice, for possible lessons, to improve my skills and to be able to get some board time then have some fun with the group. I have to go slow though on the lessons since money these days is a hard thing to keep…

In case anyone of you happen to know about an upcoming gathering or riding event please give me a shout and hopefully I can make some new friends on the sport..

This weekend I was at Nahant to practice some kite control but that was not many people out there :_((

You may ask yourself how this guy found out about us!!! Guess what? Google is the King search engine and a freebie too ;_)

Hope to hear from y’all

Stay Safe!

Den

Hiya!

Welcome aboard!

The weekend was not so good for wind. Nahant is good in most winds but easterlies and westerlies work best.

One thing that you should know is that kiting on land at Nahant is due its necessary debate about whats safe and whats not, so be aware of this! I dont think that it effects the water too much but ya never know!

thanks guys

Nice to hear from some of you :_) I'm sure we are going to meet sometime soon. I was planning a trip to Revere for this afternoon but looks like I won't be able to make it :_(( I'll keep y'all posted..

For some reason I was trying to post a message on the shout box but I'm getting an error message. Is this some permission issues?? Or just myself not knowing how to navigate on the site, that's possible!!

aight den

the shout box needs to be exorcised when JD gets back, it works 50/50.
Good call scouting out the spots and meeting the usual suspects before just heading out blindly. There's gonna be some clinics in the future with the Skipper and I and lessons as it warms up. Today is gonna be a SCORCHER !
welcome Den

clinic when warmup

cool man, whenever you have the dates for the clinic give me a shout and for sure I'll be with y'all.

I may take a ride to Revere/Nahant this afternoon to improve my kite control and if I feel good maybe some body draging :_) Hope that I can get out of work early...

Today!

If you are gonna go to Nahant today then I strongly suggest not going into the water. The wind is SW which means that it is blowing offshore...not a good way to be blowin if things go wrong!

I cant comment on Revere, but Im sure people will be around Smile

Wish I could head down there, but work till 5 Sad

Welcome

Hi Den, welcome to the forum!

There's about 12 of us that usually give a much warmer welcome on here, but we're all down in Hatteras right now and not posting much (shame on us!).

Excited to have you up and kiting. Jay from air-support on the cape gives great lessons and has all the proper insurance, etc. check him out on kitecod.com

see you out there!

C'mon !

My welcoming committee isn't up to par ? Should I bring the kid a fruit basket ?
Den and I chatted this morning about Brazil, dirtbikes and learning to kitesurf. He's from my wife's hometown in Brazil, Vitoria/Vila Velha. Good to have another chill brasilian on the program, he'll be boosting like Neto in no time.

Jay from Air Support

Hey Jermy, funny you mentioned about Jay I just had a clinic leason last weekend with him and I've learned a lot already man! Hi's crew is good guys, Markus, Adam and Rebecca.. Hope I've spelled their names right..

But I still looking to have some more to get up to speed ASAP and start spending time with the MASSKiting crew.....

Yesterday I was chatting with Willy and he mention about a trip next week to Hatterras but is too soon and the time off request went down the drain since is short notice...

If you come accross a nice group that is heading down please let me know at just4contact@gmail.com

Stay Safe

Den
