Friday 4/17
Warm west wind - where to?
Jermy, my new neighbor, want to carpool?
All moved in?
Cape looks better, but I have a feeling it'll warm up and be windier than they predict up here too.
My bet is Soundside on the cape. Wana drive down there?
Think im gona take the day off on Friday. Dux or the Cape, dosent matter to me. If anyone needs a ride down I can hook ya up. But your gona have to get yourself back home. Staying down the Cape Friday night.
mid to late afternoon- dog beach?
I got a sweeet black Scion zip outside my door if ya wanna roll in style
Yeah, we can totally try Dux first... not far from highway. SW is good there... West is annoyingly gusty.
Anyone feel like MV for a few hours? Maybe Brock is around?
I might be heading down. I would be interested in going somewhere on the Cape. I have a car. My dog rides as well though. There is space for another.
I just need to source a new wetsuit. Unless my 3/2 will suffice on the Cape.
Funny I just saw Jeremy's post below. I have a sweet Blackcherry Scion...
I am in for tomorrow too. I can drive or ride and I'll bring the beers.
I also have a real nice 4/3 NPX Assassin if you want to borrow.
I might take you up on the suit. I am trying to locate shops to call on a suit now.
id love to try and get out on the water tomorrow, but gotta work until at least 3 or so. try and keep this post updated with conditions and whether or not you guys will still be there late afternoon. thanks.
btw, i just got a npx assassin 5/3, oceanextreme sports has good prices on them, but took over a week to get here. havent used it yet, but its reallyyy comfortable. id recommend at least trying it out if you're looking for a new suit....

Wilderness house on Comm will be the most expensive, but very nice and helpful.
Definitely try one on first.
Ahhhhh the plot thickens
Maybe PBay is best then. Duxbury looks worse off than PB but who knows.
But I would still be down with WD or something on the sound side if anyone wants to drive.
Wind looks like crap everywhere. Except there is this little warning that states big gusts...
iKite says:
the national weather service in taunton has issued a fire weather
watch...which is in effect from friday morning through friday
afternoon.
this watch covers all of massachusetts except for the
berkshires...cape cod...marthas vineyard and nantucket. the watch
covers all of rhode island except for block island. the watch covers
hartford...tolland...and windham counties in north central and
northeast connecticut. the watch also covers cheshire and
hillsborough counties in southern new hampshire.
there is a potential on friday for low relative humidity...15 to 25
percent...and west to southwest wind gusts of 25 to 30 mph. the
combination of this with recently dry weather would increase the risk
of fire growth and associated dangers.
REST OF TODAY
W WINDS 5 TO 10 KT...INCREASING TO 10 TO 15 KT
WITH GUSTS UP TO 20 KT LATE THIS MORNING AND AFTERNOON. WAVES
1 TO 2 FT.

Then @ 10pm is Mission of Blues
Saturday night we have Young Neil & the Vipors @ 10pm.
Hope to see you there.
neal rocks
I'm up and can start drinking whenever
btw, I'm not worried about the gusts... more that it was weird that they were that strong in that particular report, and that the base was so low... made me feel like the base was gonna be off and we'd have more wind.
I could use a base tan.
Peace!
I'm in too

welcome kristof.
good call,
the west facing beaches might be a better bet

Regardless of where the spot is today, if someone can give me a shout and let me know. Leaving from the Taunton area around 11:00am. 774-219-2169. See you on the beach.
Sure, I'm down.
If the wind is still on and the destination is Chappy or WD I am in. I have space for another. I would be leaving anytime this morning and looking to get back around Five
Whoaaa hold on... I feel like the better wind will be later, but I kinda wanted to get back on the earlier side too. Where do you live Jay? what time are you leaving?
The forecast just totally changed and looks terrible on ikitesurf.
I am not sure where we are going. But I am open to leave whenever. I would like to head out sooner than later as I should be back by the end of the work day.
I am following the lead of others today.
Jeremy I sent you a e-mail
Anyone have an update? I am getting out of work in two hrs and all I wanna do is kite but seems there is no wind.
The flag on the Tobin Bridge is barely flying... I am pretty depressed about this.
petecat and are ready... for... wind anyone please!!
It started to get a little windy and Shane & I tried to give it a go. Got some good runs in with my skim... but we were in a pretty sketchy spot at first trying to tack between trees and powerlines trying to get upwind. I finally moved to an open area. I think we got some good photos. If anything, I got a good buzz on. And a sunburn.

Think Duxbury would be OK? We could shoot for Dux, and continue on if it's not looking strong enough... I'll see if I can get a car, if not I'd be up for splitting a zip.
