There is a lot of really good info out there. Here are some of the best ones i found. and i am sure there are other good sites out there that i havent come across yet....lets post em all here.

video

Hey Pete I don't have any good website but I do have a video if you're interested. It's a bit old but gets the job done. It's a large file but I could find a way of getting it to you. If you're interested just throw me an e-mail or PM.

The DVD KIteboarding 101

The DVD KIteboarding 101 was really good. It is great in addition to an instructor/mentor. I use to hand my copy out to who ever I was teaching to watch at home. But nothing beats working with a good instructor or mentor. There is much more to learn about kiteboarding than getting up on the board.

Safety (identifying hazards, recognizing gear wear and flaws)
Communication (Hand signals on the water and beach)
Right of Way (Who Kites where and when, who raises/lowers kites when passing)

I am not sure any of these DVD's cover those aspects of kiteboarding. At the end of a kiteboarding lesson/session an instructional DVD is a fantastic way to fill in the blanks.

Another tip, write in pen on your forearms/back of hands a few tricks or thing you want to work on as a reminder. Goofy, but really can make a difference once the adrenalin kicks in.

Good Luck,
Jay

I know Pete's watched it but

I know Pete's watched it but I think Progression videos are what you must buy in order to "Progress" really. They are really good! As you go from beginner to the intermediate to the advanced it keeps new ideas coming!

Instruction

Pete,

Ride with a bunch of people and really watch an experienced rider. I give instructions but watching in the real an experienced rider will give you a lot of insight about tips and tricks to get you riding better. Pay attention to the details and you will pick up a lot. Almost anyone is happy to offer advice. Of course riding with locals is a big help. However, taking lessons is the best route if are trying to figure it out on your own. The difference is like night and day.

some other DVD's here :_)

Hi Pete,

I'm also new to the sport and I've been watching a lot movies/videos and reading from various sites..Now I'm reaching out to the locals so I can learn from them since they are the pro's.

A lesson is a must for OUR own safety but bellow are some link of some DVD's that I have and really love it so far.. I've got some other DVD's from different companies but I really like the Real Kiteboarding teaching style.. I'm not advertising for them I'm just trying to reconize their good work on the DVD's

"Zero to hero": is a very basic DVD but it covers the basics and the safety procedures that WE must know before heading to the beach alone:

"Evolution": is a step forward after you taken your first lesson and want to push yourself little harder..

I'm also looking to have some lessons soon but I have to go slow since I've spend a lot $$$$ already on my gear :_((

In case you are going to take a session sometime soon give me a shout so we could hook up, that way we would help each other out and progress as a team!

Cya
