Kitesurfer.us will be a new online store to help promote Wainman Hawaii, Ocean Rodeo, Ozone, and Hyperflex gear. I have been watching these companies for awhile now and have to believe that they are my favorite gear amongst my close friends. I have been demoing kites for Wainman Hawaii, Southie has been Ocean Rodeo's Demo God, and more recently Jermy has been working with Windzup to get his Ozone gear on the water.

Plus with last years winter fun I think many of us found Ozone foils through snowkiting. Bluefunelement has introduced landboarding for light wind(he's def an Ozone guy). But snowkiting has only been my new thing as I ride all year wearing wetgear or drygear. Ocean Rodeo is leading the market for Drysuits, boots, and gloves and has great kites. I personally tend to ride my Wainman "Rabbit Series" as much as possible and that is one kite Id like to see do very well for crazy speed and performance.

These companies would all like to see there products on the water and have been quite gracious in their offers to help the community with sponsoring parties, giveaways, and sending riders to larger events. This is good news and its nice to see that MASSkiting as a group has amped the stoke meter enough to see these companies want to participate.

There will be a new site for gear that I will be receiving in the next few weeks. But I wanted to give a heads up in case anyone is looking for something and wants options. I will be getting stuff in hand so feel free to ask to see. The kitesurfer.us website will be up in the next few weeks and will have more details. If this goes well this will help budget more of my attention to site work. It will help promote more trips, food on the beach, parties, and hopefully we can get some buzz around a good event. Smile like we don't have any of those... MORE events.. hey when you got great friends that kite... you party!

Johnny, if you need help

Hi Jonny,

I know might not have as many flight hours clocked as you guys, but my 2 favorite names and companies are Cabrinha and Jimmy Lewis. Both names are tough to crack because they have the reputation at being one of the best of what they do ad rarely want to deal with un-known new comers. If you need help with them, I would not mind being the one to contacting them. I just need some pointer on what you, SK or Jermy has done to hook with your other companies.

Also, if you need help with Masskiting stuff, I could help some. Although, my skills are limited in mostly: business, finance/investments, investor's relations, public relations...my computer and technical skills are limited to personal applications and not commercial.

You can PM me offline if you like to discuss.

Cheers,

TN

Great news! Congrads brother!

I'm sure you will be taking money from me soon! Esp since I'm tyring to sell
a crap load of my windsurfing gear this weekend!

Make sure to carry some kitesurf boards, esp if you are going to be kitesurf.us
versus kiteboard.us

rockin' good news

way to go, JD !
You know I'm down to take this thing to the next level. I've watched my russian buddy Andrey build his kite business over the past few years. I'm sure he'd be happy to give us any advice based on his experiences.

as far as brands, I think we've more or less got most companies covered through our many connections and hook ups.
it's all about the love of the sport and the incredible people you meet along the way.
I may have taken a bit of a sabbatical from kiting but once it's in your blood, there's no turning back.
Can't wait to get my leg back to normal and start boosting hudge again !

I am very interested in

I am very interested in Lights. This is being said to be a great wave kite and is three struts like my Wainmans. I here that for their most cost effective kite many intermediate rider are grabbing them.

I need to fly it and learn why!

Aboards

Guys has anyone looked at the Aboards? The Z-series and the X-series are very similar to the 555 and made in the same place and share the same rocker. They are amazing upwind and I am very happy with my Z-series. PeteCat bought the Flip and I have been grabbing that as well and loved it!

I am getting a whole bunch in a few days for demo

Spleene

I have Spleene too which makes the Session 141 and the Door!!!

10-15 never was kiteable till now! And they make great 1st time boards to learn on. PeteCat learned on teh 160 Door and was up and riding then struggled again with a regular board. I recommend Newbs start with a dedicated light wind board. Then when they get a regular board you go for a mtch of size and weight. Currently beginners buy a slightly larger board but they are not great light wind boards due to rocker. So in stead having say a 135 and a lightwind will allow better learning and ability to have one kite to begin!

Later the light wind will save a session or prevent you from needing or having to come back to pump a big kite when the wind does not cooperate!

Hyperflex Mojo is and Amps came in. The Mojo is a great kite/wind specific suit! Totally reminded me of Brady's Venom Hatt look!
