Waquiot Bay car break in
I was at WB August 7, when I finished my session and went to my car I noticed the back window was ripped off , and a gym bag was missing from inside the car. Just an FYI that we have a thief on the lose. I parked on the lot with the iron gate.
Just one more reason to not go to WB 4 me.
Green heads, poison ivy, shitty roads, gusty winds, wind holes, crowds, no beach, now break ins..
Need I say more.
I went there this week after leaving a great session at Forest. A wind hole caused two kites to fall upside down out of the ski and get munched by some sticks.
If you happen to see me there ever again, feel free to deflate my kite and punch me in the eye.

Yeah but WB does offer some good flat water when conditions are right for unhooked and working out some tricks for the camera
But Greg you forgot to mention its usually -3mph than surrounding beaches.
Anyone have recomedations on a beach that is open to kiting
on weekends in a S / SW wind? Cuz I'm getting fed up also.
There are several Chatham beaches that have parking for pay and are good in S or SW.
You could pay to park at Craigville and walk way down beach towards the West and launch far away from the lifegaurds and probably not be bothered (its private beach there but the houses are far away from the beach, seperated from beach by a deep water inlet and beach is really deserted, best in
. There are a few small public beaches access points near Kalmus, just park at Kalmus and walk down paved road to the West and drop your gear off there first, launch (try a drift launch as beach is not wide) and stay offshore for your session. West Dennis is good in these wind directions.
Sorry to hear about the car break ins, did you report to the Mashpee police? Some reporting may induce them to patrol a little bit.
Its gusty, less windy than elsewhere, full of greenheads and poison ivy, psychokiter lurks at every corner.........but its home.
This is the first case of a smash-and-grab from what I know, but every year there is a few thefts down there off the beach and out of unlocked cars. Thinking that the Mashpee Police might patrol the state reservation seems rather absurd to me. They might answer a call regarding a rape or other serious crime, but in general you won't see them there. In fact, if they are annoyed by too many calls and reports of crime, they will press to have the state lock the gate. The guy who owns the house next to it has already made it well known that he wants access to Will's Work Rd. closed and all unauthorized vehicles parked on his residential association's property towed away. >>WB does offer some good flat water when conditions are right for unhooked and working out some tricks for the camera<<
Turning WB into a circus of egotistic, show-off tricksters and camera hounds won't help.
