There are three houses available in OBX for two weeks starting 4/11. My Winnipeg friends had the houses paid in full but are unable to travel due to the border restrictions and Surf or Sound Realty is not refunding their money. They are offering rooms at $300 per room per week to try to recoup some of their losses. The two prime houses are in the Wind-over-Waves complex in Salvo, and there’s another on the other side of Rt 12 nearer the ocean. The launch is a marsh just across street. It is a great place to end a down-winder from Planet of the Apes, and the Real slick is just a quarter mile north from launch. It’s not the greatest beginner site, the water immediately in front is around chest deep and there’s not a ton of open shoreline, but there is shallower water nearby, and the Salvo day use area is just a mile south. (I’m staying in house 422 the first week.)
