My thoughts re: Harding's, MK, and "community".

My last post on the issue, unless people want to talk directly to something I say. To preface this, I consider myself a responsible kiter who enjoys both the sport and the vibe on the beach. I enjoy kiting when I can, and I enjoy sharing photos and videos and talks about kiting when I can't. This drama shit is the reason why I kite alone for most of the summer. I will make a few specific points to a few specific people so you don't have to read a wall of text unless you want to.

Big Thanks

I just got out of the car from two days of utterly abusing myself. I didn't help plan this weekend at all, but I mooched a fantastic time. I wanted to say some big thank you's to some of the major contributers that I saw.

First off, a big thanks to the Ozone Crew. Pat and Kara were a blast to hang out with, and they drove us around in the Cloud 9 camper. They pumped kites to check out even though there was no wind. We were sad to see them leave on Sunday, but looking forward to a few more days with them up by Boston. They drank out beer. They danced.

good morning hatteras (and MASSkiting)

it's 8am at the kitehouse and people are just starting to trickle up to the third floor where the kitchen and the main living room is. i am drinking some delicious sun tea made on the back deck. chris and mesa are working on breakfast, and tn and jd are talking about the night last night (at club bluefun - will explain later).

Well I'm sitting at my wife's family house down in CT trying to get her motivated to get packed up so we can be back in Boston before the evil holiday weekend traffic starts. I knw how you all like to bang out early on holiday Fridays. I am holding out hope for a session this weekend becuase the NWS still has a small craft forcasted for NE winds on Saturday. I have limited computer access here, so it got me thinking about MASSkiting on Twiter.

Wicked Witch of the West

Well it's early Sunday morning and it looks liek the forcast is showing the wind having blown itself out before noon time which doesn't leave enough time for a legitimate Cape trip. I missed out on what sounds like a great session down there yesterday becuase of time restraints, so I was really counting on getting out there today. Drove all around yesterday looking for a good local option for a quick session as there was plenty of wind, but came up empty.

In the beginning...

Blog Count: 1 I have slept off the evil headache that resulted from last night's circus of Sapporo and sake, two of the choice poisons of fellow MASSkiters: Jermy (under the the distinctly bad influence of his better-half, Meredith) and Chris. It was a Sunday night and that means sake bombs at Shabu Zen. I'm not sure if they appreciate a table of seven pounding their fists on the table and making a slip and slide of sake and beer, like some sort of primordial ooze for bad ideas, but they keep the beer flowing.
