Where to launch
In front of parking lot or to left.
Hazards
Jetty 1/3 mile down wind in N/NE wind, some large rocks to the left exposed at low tide but hidden at high, wooden pole with platform for Osprey nest to far left on beach, a line of rocks on beach exposed at low tide but partially hidden at high, rocks surrounding parking lot. A few rocks on sand bar near jetty at dead low tide.
Tide Information
-LOW TIDE- Beginner friendly. Large pebbly beach just stay away from parking lot and rocks. Entire bay is shin to waist deep except for a few channels of deeper water. Some sandbars exposed at dead low but enough water for kiting, except extreme low tides may run out of water, watch for occasional small rocks or obstacles. Good 3 hours each side of low tide.
-HIGH TIDE- Not beginner friendly. Deep water, some chop, no ridable waves. Beach in front of parking lot is completely covered. It's possible to launch and land to left. Watch out for large rocks hidden by high tide and wooden pole with platform for Osprey nest on beach.
Directions
From Boston- 93 S, 3 S, 44 E, go into town take left when 44 ends at 3A/Court St, go 1/2 mile take right on Nelson St, enter Nelson St. Recreation Area.

Park at end of lot, no fee.

I actually have never launched there. But it makes a good last ditch if wind dies and you have a ride.
It used to be good in Summer(although we don't get a lot of E wind in the Summer) but they are currently renovating the entire park. I have no idea what access will be like when they are done.
What about access during the summer months?
