My 2008 Naish Bar Exploded the other day. Anyone have one for sale. Would also conciser a different bar, since this is the second time this season my bar underwent total, catastrophic, system failure.

Not really the bars

Not really the bars fault...just sounds like your depower line needed to be replaced. Did you have a lot of time on that bar without replacing the depower line? When you start to notice some wear you should replace that line to prevent it breaking on the water.

Its a good idea to rub candel wax on your center lines to help slow down the wear on your line. Do it every 2-3 sessions and it will prolong the life of the amsteel line.

The only way to avoid these problems is to be proactive and maintain your bars. Or you can get a bar that has a coated Depower line....problem solved.

Maybe obvious but maybe there

Maybe obvious but maybe there is something in the center section that is wearing your line quicker.. maybe take a file to it and try to smooth things out

silicone tubing and amsteel

You can replace your center line with 1/4" or 3/8" amsteel. If you are woried about it abrading, you can put it inside some silicone tubing. You can get the amsteel at west marine in dedham for a couple of bucks per foot and the tubing at home depot or lowes.
