2010 South Padre Island Kite Round-Up

Hey Guys!
We are getting ready for the 2010 SPI Kite Round-Up. Much preparation is being made to get set for the 9 day long event scheduled for May 1st-9th, 2010 on our windy island of South Padre. The registration page is now open and you can fully register as a participant on the web site. Go to the event registration to pre-register for the 2010 SPI Kite Round-Up and save money. Becoming a paid participant will give you full access to the amateur kiteboarding contests, industry wide gear demos, kite clinics, Texas Hold'em Poker night and more!
Let us know if you have any questions on where to stay, how to get here, etc.!

Kite Round Up
Paul and Jeff over at Air Padre are a great place to visit if you can make head out. Even if not for this event Padre is a great place to be! Chris goes out there a couple times a year and our trip out there was solid! I think Padre and its limitless flat water gets my vote on places to be. Ring Paul or Jeff if you ever need advice!

Anyone thinking about going down?
I've been down there before back in the windsurf days.
Pretty much same set up as Hatteras except much warmer and way more night life 
Flat Laguna Madre on inside, big fat downwinders on the outside with smooth waves. Great food too and cheap tequila!
Cheap hotels down there, $40 a night which would be $20 per person.
Flights to Brownsville aren't that bad either.

Stoked for the roundup! Looking forward to getting some warm flat water so I can work on some new stuff! The features look fun too. Hope to see some guys from the North East down there.

Not sure if you got my PM, the site's acting a bit crazy, asking for passwords every time I access a page?
Anyway, if redundant,sorry.
Do you have any leads on condos? Ideally, would love to rinfd someone that rented a condo and may be short a person or two?
PM me if you know or find out about such an arrangement.
I'm pretty laid back and flexbile, the Hatteras video can vouche for that as you see my bumper floating around the pool that a friend accidentally ripped off!LOL

I just saw your post now Skyrocket....never got your PM's. Sorry about that. Did you find a place to stay? I didn't do any of the trip planning so I wouldn't be any help.
I fly into brownsville Saturday morning....hope to see ya there
