Harbor master picked up a pink kite not sure what brand but sounds like a Best to me. It was floating near the new break in Chatham.

Kite in Chatham

There was someone out on a pink Best (Waroo?) for most of the day on Saturday. I saw him outside between the launch point at Hardings and the Stage Harbor entrance. Also saw him with us in the slick in Stage harbor. Didn't recognize who it was. I think I was the last person out of the slick on Saturday and I don't recall any other kites still there.

Just got off the phone with the Harbor Masters office and they found the owner of the kite and it had just gotten away from the guy. No one was lost or in trouble.
(whitey might still be hungry)

If I lost my kite I would

If I lost my kite I would recommend calling the harbor master. Of course the Coast Guard and Police would be next on non-emergency channels. That way they do not waste time looking for someone stranded. When you find a kite their next concern is where is the person.

I think most kiters put their

I think most kiters put their name and cell numbers on our kites and boards to prevent these problems. Get with the program. Help the coast guard and harbor masters plus you get your stuff returned.

Hey, putting names on kites

Hey, putting names on kites is a good idea. There would just have to be some way to remove it when we go to sell them.

My kites have Jimmy C's name

My kites have Jimmy C's name and phone number on them. If I get eaten by Whitey they are going to think it was him.
