Anyone seen this? Kitewingusa.com
Saw this at Sunapee the other weekend. Not quite the same but still a pretty cool way to play in the wind.

ya there was a guy out on Lake Q in wakefield on saturday with one. he was not moving verry well. They seam to need a lot of wind and the do not seem to be as much fun as a kite,
I've seen a half dozen vids on here... Enough that it doesn't looks as fun as kiting (take for example, launching off the hill this past weekend on Sunday in NY).
Looks like there will be some adjustments to this sport... I bet there will be different atrachment points that'll make it more interesting. But if this was as awesome as kiting, I'm pretty sure more would be doing it.
Must kill the forearms!
I got one early in the winter and have used it twice.
The first time was in sticky wet snow with 10 to 15 knots on a golf course. It sucked. Not enough power to go. More like x_c skiing with a stupid wing to drag around. A kite would have been much better as have had fun kiting in the same conditions.
The second time was on black ice with skates in similiar wind, maybe a touch stronger in puffs. It was a blast. At first getting the hang of transitions was tricky, but after 20 min was zipping around at 25 to 30 mph. Jumping is next. I tried kiting with skates a few times and it didn't work so well. Get going too much faster than the wind so hard to turn without dropping the kite or slowing way down.
here is vid of the first few minutes learning to turn
I've seen people doing it. It looks pretty lame IMO
I have seen these my last Trips to NH and Vermont. Never here in MA actually. But recently I have shared a few sessions with them.
kites are so much more efficient
Looks about as cool as gay porn!
Looks as much fun as watching paint dry.
"safer than Kiteboarding"? Really, there's a guy jumping over a road on one of the youtube vids!!hahaha.
How about safer than driving instead?
Anyhoo...can you loop it? or maybe handle pass it?
nyuk nyuk nyuk!
