Connecticut Cable Park
Any of you guys up for a cable park session? This place opened last year and I am going to head out there in the next couple of weeks to check it out! It's the only place I know of in New England and it looks like it could be a great place to work on board skills when there is no wind. Below is a description of the cable area and below that is a link. Check it out!

Wakeboard
Brownstone Park is the only cable wakeboarding facility north of the Mason-Dixon Line. High speed winches provide riders with runs of up to 1,200 feet at speeds of up to 25 miles hour. It’s a fantastic sport and is certainly one of the biggest hits at the park. Entry- level boards are available for use at no additional charge and lessons can be scheduled daily.
Coming in 2009 – For the more capable riders with their own board and helmet, Brownstone is adding both jumps and rails that will put some lift into your freestyle boarding.
When you’re ready for your own equipment visit our Sports Shack for the latest equipment from Liquid Force, Body Glove and many other leading manufacturers.
For additional information or if you want to know more about equipment, lessons or park rules click on a link to go to the page.
■Rental Shack – Boards and helmets that can be used on the jumps and rails and much more are all available for rent.
■Training/Education – Not sure you’re ready to on take on the rails yet, take a lesson from one of your trained staff members.
■Sports Shack – Check out the latest wakeboarding equipment or customer order it, all at the most competitive prices.
■Rules – Ensure you review the rules of the park, which includes special details on wakeboarding
Is it open now? I'll go tomorrow!
I think it is just a Sesitec 2.0 system they have.
Ya count me in. Round em up, or wind-em-up?
plaese let me know when you guys go that is awesome i will be there every monday if there is no wind.
This is not a cable park. It is a bullshit winch park. Big difference, damn it! I thought finally something cool came to these environs. I guess I am gonna have to deal with our fickle winds. Fuck!
Brownstone Park: Loadin the cable. Doin a RalleyBrownstone is the place to be when the wind doesnt blow. They have a 2 tower system 2.0 wakeboard system. Very similar feel to kite boarding. You can do load tricks and they even have a kicker and rail set up. Word on the street is they are getting more cables and more features making it pretty official.I attached some pictures of the kids rippin it last year
Thanks... And please let us know when you are finished with your park's improvements. but next time, please don't spam our site in three different threads about the same thing. it's annoying.
I went to Brownstone Park last year. It's an awesome place to go during the week but if you go during the weekends its wicked busy and you have tons of waiting.
It's in a huge quarry with cliff jumps monitored by life guards, zip lines, trampolines, and random stuff.
The cable is just a winch. You strap in on a dock, hop into an 8 ft jon boat, and they hold the handle while they tow you out about 100 ft. There is like 2 jumps and a rail which they "encourage" you not to use. If your winch operator sucks, your ride will suck because of the slack in the line
Point said, I still had a blast and its definitely worth the experience

It looks like they don't open the cable park up until May 1st. I'm going to head over there early next week to scope it out. I'll keep you posted.
