Anyone ever been or have any G2? I'm headed their end of January with my company for a few days. Bahia Salinas looks like the spot...claimed to be the 8th windiest place in the world. Curious on the spots and if any are decent for my non-kiting wife.

Bahia Salinas

I went there over New Year's 2010/11. Great Place. Wind was in the 30-45 mph range.

Its pretty rural though.
My wife is non-kiting as well. We had a rental car which enabled us to explore the area.

bahia salinas

Just spent 4 days at the Blue Dream in Bahia Salinas.

Rural, but good kite spot with good wind. Great place
to kite, drink, eat, sleep with a group. Non-kiters will enjoy
for a few days if they like hanging on the beach, but
a week might get old for non-kiters.

Staff is very helpful and can deal with any skill level.
Accomodations are intimate, and you'll get to know the whole
crew very quickly.

Rental car will help explore some other more beautiful
beaches with less wind, but not much civilization around.

Fishing, or horseback riding are available to have something
else to do, but it's really all about the kiting.

Lake Arenal is the only other option I have heard of. Might
be more options for your wife there, but I would recommend a
few days in Bahia Salinas at least.
