Saturday looks like it will be good post storm West wind, maybe even a little sun. The buoy in Rhode Island sound is reading 12 feet right now, who knows what it'll be tomorrow morning, but I am angling for a wave session at Horseneck - might be insane, but I have to have a look and see.

I would be down for some post Earl sessions! Not sure I'm looking for double overhead waves though. Where else will be good this weekend. Duxbury? Guessing the cape is going to be super crowded on the holiday weekend.

Cape might be deserted
Cape might be deserted actually, Waquoit should be good, if the road is still there, or WD. Never any big waves at any of these two spots.

That would be on the south
That would be on the south side of the islands. You are not going to get that kind of swell inside Nantucket Sound.

4-5' SSE swell for the best S exposed spots early morning – this potentially is a notch or two larger at very first light but the swell will be on a downward trend. This will drop pretty quick spots for south of CC such as RI through into the PM hours.
Looks like it'll be fading fast, and mostly sloppy leftovers.

Horseneck?
Hi guys,
I'm new to the area and hoping to score some Earl action this weekend. I was fortunate enough to get a nice session in on Thursday PM at Wiquoit (sp?).
Can someone please tell me what/where is Horseneck? I am intrigued...tks.
What about West Dennis for tomorrow on SW? Is that a good location and what kind of waves would one expect.
I am into waves, but not the double overhead kind.

Will we actually be able to kite there? In the past when i have tried to windsurf or kite around hurricanes and tropical storms i have not been allowed off the beach. The forecast for tomorrow looks great on the cape. Does anyone know what beaches are closed?

Lost & found dept. from W Dennis- I have a yellow Cabrinha pump that was left to fend for itself on the beach. It misses it's owner.
Let me know if you want to car pool, I'm hearing reports of double overhead in Newport this afternoon
