I felt vindicated that they were wearing brightly colored drysuits (Kokotat) and each had a spot satelite transponder strapped to their chests. And a support boat.

It cost them $45 grand to get the permits from the USSR, and it was only 60 miles. Must be nice to have sponsors.

But it really should have been a hardy New England kiter to have braved the cold. Just another winter day at Nahant.

OK, who has $45 grand for the permit?

Or maybe we should do it pirate style. Better yet, touch and go, both ways without permission.
