Can anyone recommend a good flotation/impact vest to wear on top of an OR Pyro Pro drysuit?
I wear a Mystic waist harness.

typically wear mine inside

I typically wear mine inside the suit and then just line up the harness on the outside. Its a little warm but that's typically not an issue if I am wearing a dry suit.

I have a mystic harness and

I have a mystic harness and OR Predator suit, I wear the Mystic D30 vest over the suit and under the harness, same as I would a wetsuit.

Same.. Unfortunately OR

Same.. Unfortunately OR doesnt make tall sizes for tall skinny guys. My suit is an XXL i think due purely to me being 6'2".. There is extra fabric so the D30 vest covers well and gets anything out of the way. Love my D30

NPX immortal floatation vest

I use to wear the NPX on top of my OR pyro with a dakine Harness and I use to have a problem with it because the harness use to ride up and push the vest towards my face so I got dakine Boardshorts and I LOVE it. the vest stays where it is all the time as a matter of fact I sometimes forget that I have it on that is how comfortable it can be
Last season I use to wear it under neath the suit and I wasn't a big fan of it so this year I tried it this way and you won't even beleive how comfie it is. 1st of all it hides all the bulkiness and protects the suit as well.

good luck

LiteWave SlamVest

I am looking for an impact vest too, but I use a 6/5/4 wetsuit. Has anybody used LiteWave SlamVest?

I liked how low profile it seems to be, but it is not as well-known (at least to me) as NPX, Mystic, etc. so I thought maybe somebody here has experience with it.

Thanks

Burak

Dry suits usually have enough

Dry suits usually have enough air in them to keep you afloat thats all you need the rest is just clutter.

For me, the idea of wearing a floatation vest with a drysuit is only in case the drysuit tears and becomes a liability. A drysuit full of water could be quite dangerous. I would think a floatation vest would offer some safety margin in such a situation.

it was pleasure meeting you

it was pleasure meeting you as well the other day at dog. I totally agree by having a floatation device when wearing a drysuit because they are very difficult to swim in.regardless you should try to swim in it to see how it feels

good luck
