Google Latitude
A bunch of us started using Google latitude on the Hatteras trip (a free app for Android/iPhone that tracks your location real-time), and it was pretty cool to be able to see where all your friends were at on the road trip. I think this would also be a pretty cool tool for kiteboarding in general...to be able to just open up latitude and see who is currently at what beach.
If anyone wants to join (you need to add/accept friends like FB), reply to this post with your latitude email address (usually a gmail, but it can be linked to other emails as well). Or if you don't want post your email address publicly, send me a PM with your email address and ill keep a running list then PM back the list to everyone in a week or so.
I was going to post about this app when I got a chance. All of us who used it in Hatteras got a kick out of it. On the way home, it was nice to see how far away everyone was. Patrick and Tyler were racing. Sam stopped in PA. Once Kristof saw that Pete was catching up to us, he started driving faster. Phil saw we just crossed the GW Bridge and texted us for traffic info. Yes, a novelty thing, but I think it'll be cool in the summer. If only the Locals could get it they'd know how to stay away from us.
Who else is up here near me in N. Andover?
My latitude adress is veilleuxfilms@gmail.com
I'm right in methuen brah!
does Rod have an account?
I am sure that we can embed the Latitude map on the site. We just need to get everyone entered on a master account. Solve the issue of MASSkiting inviting everyone and then you can see it from the site. That way everyone does not have to invite everyone.
Can invite your own cast.. But we can solve the where EVERYONE..

haha. ya speaking of the locals, it would also be pretty cool if we could then post a latitude map on the homepage so anyone could just check masskiting and at a quick glance and see where ppl are at.
(new project Johnny D?!?!?)
