Hi everyone, I have been using a great free resource for local wind conditions for the better part of this year. Its called wunderground.com. I have a link which gives wind conditions from personal wind meters that folks put on their houses and which updates every few seconds. There is a meter on the south west side of Nathant that gives conditions that turn out to be pretty close to dog beach and there is a meter in winthrop which says its on winthrop beach. Much more accurate than deer island because you can tell if the wind is getting caught by the island and not hiting the beach. There are also meters in lynn and swamscott. If you follow the link below, it will give you the wind conditions in Nahant (there is no other similar resource elsewhere) and if you scroll to the bottom it will give all of the local meters and it updates automatically with wind direction and speed every few seconds. Really a great resource. You can also see placement of the meters as well. I keep the page as a bookmark on my Droid and its a great second source to ikitesurf, which only updates every 15 minutes. Wait for the page to fully load before you scroll to the bottom to see all the active meters. The page also gives i think the same wind prediction info that ikitesurf uses for the coming days for free and it also gives all of the incoming flights to logan for the next 15 minutes so you can figure out which flight is coming in above you at Revere. Pretty cool.

also I have a great tide link for lynn harbor (Revere beach). It shows where the tide is relative to time and sunrise and sunset. Very cool in that it updates everytime you refresh to the current time. Really also a great resource.

Jermy,
Might want to add links to the front of Masskiting.com. This is my best secret weapon revealed, other than my 19m flysurfer.
Regards,
Fred
