I agree, who the hell uses a leash when there LAUNCHING a kite. The board will not drift too far away on sand. this guy is a nightmare! I like the part where he is standing there adjusting the stopper ball on the beach. Heres a tip! If you do that on the beach you are going to get thrown!

Well... I do...
This being my first season I figured a board leash would help me spend more time on the board and less time body dragging. It's true that its a bit awkward as you launch but the fact is that it's a pain to clip the leach once your kite is in the air because you really need two hands... so... guilty as charged... I have been clipping my board leach prior to launching. I'm thinking of phasing it out now that I'm more confident but I feel a bit like a toddler having his pacifier taken away.

I have ran into people like this average about once a year and the last one was at Revere. I think we need to unite and give these people a severe kiter beat down we don't need them in the sport. Start with sand in the eyes then let the beatings begin. Better than having a kid or old person getting hurt. Thats my feeling on these types of people. Police can use defense tactics and we will be self policing.
