Anyone used this stuff?

http://www.kgbswag.com/repairs/kitelife

Its sail & line cleaner/conditioner/protectant. New gear = armor, old gear = restore. Curious if the claims are as good as they sound. I can see how it could either be a gimmick, or be really valuable, could go both ways. The line conditioner could be interesting to get a control system feeling a little smoother.

Think bunch of marketing..

Think bunch of marketing.. One thing can do to kites is 303 aerospace protectant.. Using it for years on boats and canvas and equally sails.. Definately helps. Lines though deteriorate with sand, sun, stretch. Nothing you can do and honestly should be replacing lines if old or looking worn. Dont want something to happen when out there riding and jumping 20ft.

nice

do you find the repellant is hydrophobic such that it makes water releaunching easier for example?

for the lines, just looking for something in the 1-2 foot length that goes through center of the bar to keep it sliding smooth (for performance, not longevity)

agreed the majority of it is marketing crap-ola!

Yeah think would help

Yeah think would help longevity or repellency but honestly wind helps with relaunching.. Wax your center lines. This will help slide better and longevity.. Parifin wax.

I'd be careful with putting a layer of anything on the fabric of the kite. You risk making it heavier which could alter its flying characteristics.
