looking for a Campground in MA or NH for a kite weekend
I was thinking of maybe organizing a camping trip near the ocean with some friends for this summer and hopefully do some kiting when I'm not getting daytime drunk and playing horseshoes. Can anyone recommend a good place in the north mass, new hampshire, maine area that might fit the bill. Proximity to a good kite spot is a must
In the summer, the winds are better on Cape Cod, you should book a space at Nickerson State Park in Brewster.
This could work
I think you might need a boat / canoe to get to the camp site on Washburn Island.
That canoeing camp spot would make a killer kiting weekend, though. I believe the spaces fill up fast for weekends as they do at Nickerson during the summer months. Early and late season is pretty empty.
Horse Neck, been there a bunch kind of cool to just walk out to kite, though the beach is all baseball size rocks there
Sounds like a great time to canoe or boat out to an island for a weekend of camping and kiting! Nice spot.
Hi there, your talking about my neck of the woods. I live in Seabrook, NH. The salisbury campgrounds are a good spot to stay but in the summer month from memorial day to labor day you can't kite on salisbury beach only Seabrook beach. Parking can be a bitch but its always available might just have to pay $10. Make sure you yield to the beachgoers and kids swimming so stay 100 yards from them. In the summer months we get about 3 to 4 rideable days a week on average. Give me a holler when your up this way.6037650263

Nickerson is awesome. And you have the whole cape
