Mount Wachusett season pass low-rate deadline is approaching. If you are looking to buy, do so before the November 17th cut off.  A bronze century pass will run you $229.00 at current group rate. It'll  pay for itself after 6-7 sessions and entitles discounts that are worth a look.  College students check out the Upass at $189.00.

Passes and when they are valid: https://www.wachusett.com/TicketsPasses/SeasonPasses/CenturyPasses/tabid/95/Default.aspx

- Passes must be purchased online or in person.
- First create a user account at the Mt Wachusett website.
- Click on Group Sales and navigate to GPS Order Online.
- Select pass type and fill out order form
- Use "Group Name or Coordinator Name: EASYRIDERS"

I've formed a small GPS group made up of snowboarders, skiers and kiters called Easyriders. Feel free to sign up under this name for the low group rate.

My choice is the bronze century pass, it's the best deal going if you can get away to ski or board on the weekdays. The bronze gives you lift access mon-fri 9am-10pm and on the weekends for night riding 4pm-10pm, ditto for holidays and blackout dates.

Snowkiting is also on the menu in the area.

See you on the snow!

Hey there Just came across

Hey there
Just came across this forum as i am trying to get into snow kiting. Being a season pass holder at Wachusett myself and planning on going to Tug Hill in Jan, i was hoping you could clue me in on any other spots in the area to try snowkiting. Bought some kites in May and have a few Ozone foils in the quiver so quite new to the sport. Would love to try it a bit before tug hill so i don't make a complete fool of myself.

Any feedback or comments are appreciated!

Much thanks,
Kristen in RI

Snowkiting

Kristen,

Welcome to the group! I'm not sure about RI, but a few of us snowkite quite frequently in central MA on frozen lakes and fields. When conditions are ready, we'd love to have you join us and would be more than happy to show you the ropes. I'd love to plan some group rides up north at Lake Winnipesauke and Lake Champlaign this year too, where the wind tends to be a lot more consistent and more snow. Also, you should be sure to check out the Kitestorm event on Feb 26 & 27th up at the Sandbar on Lake Champlain. Really fun event: http://www.stormboarding.com/
