I am a new kiter and would like to extend my riding season. I would like to hear opinions from other, more experienced New England kiters. Should I get a smaller kite or a thicker wetsuit? I can't afford both right now, so what would I get the most use out of? Currently I have a REV15 and a 3/2 wetsuit.Should I go with a drysuit or save some money and get a thicker wetsuit. Thanks for opinions. May be looking for a smaller kite in the 10M-12M, I love my REV so something like that.

if you want to extend the

if you want to extend the season a 3/2 is not going to cut it in the fall/winter plain and simple. dry suit/wetsuit is all preference.
If your going to get a wetsuit look at the o'neil mutant. Pretty versatile and has done me good for winter surf.

Go for the suit.

I would add a 4 /3 front zip suit with sealed and taped seams to your collection first. I have a hyperflex Amp that is great and a bit cheaper than the higher end 4 /3 Oneill, Excel, Mystic and Ripcurl suits which are all very nice. I like the front zip suit for cooler conditions as less water flushes through. I used it last year until late November. Then I bought a dry suit and I thought it was a better more versatile option than a thick wetsuit. Also, good boots, gloves and hood are key.
Medium term, you will end up with a smaller kite as well.
