Neighbor to the West
Hey Everybody, new to the forum but not the sport. I hail from Albany but have a large group of friends in the Boston metro area and make the trip a lot.
I snow kite in the winter and buggy in the summer (sail hobie cats as well, my other wind passion).
After a bit of trawling, seems like a great community here, so I thought I'd jump in.
For the record, I hate the Yankees.
Used to race Hobie, Prindles and Nacra's for years...great sport but IMHO.... lots of upkeep, trailering, things breaking, etc...I find kiting so much more fun, less hassle, longer season etc...
I hear people windsurf on Lake George near you, not sure if you can kite there.
Def start making the trek to the Cape or Long Island.
And of course glad to see that you know the Yankees suck!LOL
ahhhhhhahaha funny Ben. Welcome to the forum. I hail from Albany area too... our last trip to Tug Hill I made my car stop in town so I could get some Hot Dog Charlies sauce.
You ever kite on the water? You should come ride with us!

Haven't transitioned to water yet, with sailing in the summer I haven't really felt the need to kite on the water, I'm sure it's only a matter of time though.
Some friends of mine do ride on Sacandaga from time to time (winter and summer)
