So I've taken the lessons, purchased the gear, now I'm looking to hit the water. Is this weekend likely not the best weekend for a newbie because of the weather? I only have a 12m so I'm not sure if the gusts might be to much for it (even if I just went out and practiced some body dragging)... Is there a good spot to hit tonight or at all this weekend? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Waquoit Bay, as long as it is

Waquoit Bay, as long as it is not too strong and gusty. The wind will be westerly all weekend and diminishing, so just wait for the sweet spot, and/or buy a 9 meter.

Pick somewhere safe.

Wait for late Saturday or Sunday (both look more moderate).
