Hey All,
I am heading down to long beach island this weekend and I'm gonna bring my gear. Anyone have any info or leads on the beaches/launches down there? I am pretty new, so my ineptitude may keep me on the beach anyway, but knowledge is power...

Hope this isnt too late. I

Hope this isnt too late. I just got back from LBI tonight. Great place and great kiting... too bad I didnt get to do any this trip since there was no wind. Did a little SUP though.

Anyway from personal experience and kiting there on previous trips I would suggest Vadim at Greenhatkiteboarding.com

Let him know you are a mass kiter he will hook you up. He runs a boat from the main land out to an island just off of Barnaget light, the northern most part of LBI. Great beginner spot all chest high flat water that works in any wind direction. If you cannot hook up with him there is another school/rental place on the southern part of LBI but they are pretty expensive. www.islandsurf-sail.com/

Green hat will take you to the spot for like 100 bucks and if you are a noob offer advise and boat assist if you get in trouble for the whole day.

Hope this helps and hope you get better wind then me!
