I am organizing a downwinder on Sat from Sandy Neck Beach/Barnstable Harbor to Corporation Beach from 10-12. Should be some nice wind blown swell waves with a nice WNW wind.

Hopefully stop for a quick lunch break and then do another downwinder from
Corporation to 1st Encounter!

PM me for me details. You must be an intermediate or above above self sufficient rider. Around 7 miles.

Should be a great time, high tide is around 12:30-1:00.

PM me for more details.

-Skyrocket

I'm interested

I just sent you a PM. This should be more fun than fighting the crowds at Chapin.

For those of you on the fence...

Chapin to Corp is pretty short and we'll park a car down at Corp once we stop at Chapin for a rest.

The plan is to meet up at Sandy Neck at 9ish.

Ideally, it would be great if friends could carpool and leave one or two of their cars at Chapin early in the morning.

Once at Corp, we'll play around in the waves as the tide goes out and if anyone is interested we can do one more leg from Corp east.

Please PM me your phone #'s and look for updates here.

Should be lip smacking fun.

It was da tits. Wind acted

It was da tits. Wind acted flukey at first, I had to re rig from a 9 to a 12, Johnny D stayed with me to support my efforts, while Chaley, Hepp, Tim Christian, Stephan, and Peter Lyons charged across the open water. JD and I finally made it an hour later to a cheering crowd. Great team, great effort great fun. Oh, and Skyrocket showed up late, and made it across as well. Paul had to walk back coz he couldn't relaunch, and Julian decided to stay put and scored a powered solo session at Sandy Neck.

I LOVE downwinders, even though they can be logistically challenging.

Sweet Day!

Awesome day indeed. Coming across the bay into Chapin with Hepp, Chaley, and Peter, we were in a sweet quad formation (praying the wind wouldn't crap out too). Made me feel like a cowboy rolling into town with our kite posse! I definitely want to explore more downwinders on the cape. West Dennis to Hardings next SW?

nice ride!

Great day charging across the bay. Pretty cool how the group instinctively came together right before crossing the bay. Next time we'll head straight for Ptown!

Looking at the graphs, it appears Wingaersheek might have been a better call for today.

Posse into town

Actually I have to agree in regard to that feeling. As Jean and I crossed I had that moment when I was trying to describe how I was feeling. Good friends, special moment, and the view!!! It was one of those time when you say to your self "This is it!!"
