Heyo

Im going down to Ocean City NJ for a week and want to kite. Anyone know of any beaches that are good or resources in the area? I'll be taking my own gear and am not ready for big waves yet.

NJ

I m more familiar with Long Beach Island and more northern NJ spots, but heard Lakes Bay near Atlantic City causeway is good on SW, S, SE.  25th Street on Long Beach Island is very good, but it would be a long(ish) drive.

Check:

kitebeaches.com

Ocean-side beaches probably OK too.  "Big" waves in NJ are a rarity in the spring/summer.

Atlantic Kiteboarding forum

There are a lot of great guys on the Atlantic kiteboarding forum, too: http://atlantickiteboarding.com/forum/

Register, introduce yourself, and they'll be sure to hook you up. There's a very active group that kites at 59th street in OC and at Corson's Inlet, depending on direction. Have fun!
