Does anyone know of any good spots in the Pt. Judith area to kite? I'll be down there all next week. I do know about Ninigret Pond. Probably about a 20 minute drive. But I am wondering if there is any closer spot as it appears there are a number of beaches right in Pt. Judith. Any input is appreciated...Thnx

I'm no expert on R.I. but

I'm no expert on R.I. but here's what I know-

There's a local crew at Matunuck Beach/Deep Hole (not East Matunuck) in SW, W wind. It's an expert only spot- waves, many rocks, small beach, point break.

Fogland is a beginner freindly spot but may be further drive- Taunton. Flat, shallow, water in S, SW, NW, N.

There are some other places that are mostly off limits during Summer lifeguard hours- Scarborough Beach in NE, Roger Wheeler State Park in S, SW, W.

Georges Restaurant in Refuge Harbor? Not sure what it's like in Summer, probably off limits.

I'm sure there are lots of other spots that I don't know about, Newport beaches, Narragansett Bay spots.
