RRD Demo
The RRD North America demo van will be passing by Massachusetts on Sunday and Monday next week.
There will be 2012 demo gear in the van and Adam Super & Evan from Deep Blue Sports will be talking about the new goodies.
I will keep you posted for scheduling and locations as we get closer to the dates.
Good winds,
-Peter
Can't say enough good things about the 2010 Obsessions and the 2011 Religion kites that I've tried. Seems like everyone here in Mass who has tried some of their stuff likes it. They have a huge line of directional boards that would be interesting to demo, never even seen one in person. Hope there is wind. I am off this upcoming week but have a wake and funeral on Sun then Monday. Maybe God will swirl in some wind for the events?
I need a 9 meter
Jean, know may look towards the religions but I have a 9m obsession too for sale. Needs maybe couple new pigtails for wingtips, bar has basically new lines on it. Let me know
Jean you should try my 9m Obsession sometime. 9m weather for you would be 10.5 weather for me, so if we're at the same beach I would have another kite to fly.
I don't have that much experience flying different brands of kites, but from the handful I have taken out, the Obsessions are by far the most fun. Fast, graceful, fluid, powerful and responsive.
I flew an Obsession 7 meter and wasn't wild about it. I would love to try the Religion though. I love the names they gave the kites.
Jean,
My 7m Religion is my least favorite of all my RRD kite. So much so that I recently bought a 8m Religion and like it as much as my 9m Religion in its wind range. I don't use a 6m religion but from people that have them it seems to b e a good size. I use a 5.5 Kahoona V2 which is actually my favorite kite of any I own but you need 6m wind or higher to use it. 7m religion is kind of weak feel to it but turns on wave in high wind without pulling you off wave...
Tried a 10.5m Vision today and you might like that better than the Religions.
Just bought a Best Taboo 9
whoa.
What?
go Jean! kind of inspiring.
Weird how 4 years go everyone rode Best, now - no one does, their logo wasn't even on the cake!
so far I like the taboos and the new C kite a lot. enough to steal yours when your knee starts bothering you during a sesh
Yeah! Kite swap! The only way to truly learn about how the various designs perform.
against tons of better judgement I'm going back on the water next week - I'm going stir crazy.
After all duct tape on sutures - how could that possibly end badly?

Also who stole the JohnnyDmovbile!!?
M,
Thumbs up to krazy glue, water proof band aids and duct tape on top:-) gotten me through a few stitches incidents on vaca. Def skyrocket approved.
Not a very big beach for an event. I hope they're hitting low tide at least.
RRD van will be at corp late this morning then Chappy this pm, its Tuesday!
Was out on 11m Caution and rigged down to 8m Religion when the RRD guys showed up. Chappy was it's normal gusty NW self but was ok to try different gear. Evan strapped up that pretty baby surf board ( Maquina 5'9" ) with the caveat not to jump it and took it out on the 8m. Wind dropped while on it so could not tell too much but seemed small to me even though same length as my Stretch, turned ok, nothing dramatic, nice board, would need bigger size if I were to get one but still llke the Stretch better. Hard to beat a good stretch. Pete rode it powered so will have a better report.
Tried the 9m Vision and liked it , not as fast as Religion and has more bar feel but not at all heavy. Think it would be nice kite for strapless guys and girls.
I'm excited about RRD also, they came by the shop on Monday and hooked me on the Obsessions. I've got some demos on the way!
Very excited!
We have Spleene Doors on massive sale right now.

looks like they will be here monday pm at chappy.
