Dudes,
Looking to see if anyone has been out or scoped any lakes since this flop of a blizzard was forecasted. Want to get out but not sure where we got snow to cover up the ice. If there's not enough snow I'm going to head up to hit Cannon but would rather to get out on the lake. Wind is free, lift tickets aren't.

Let me know if anyone is planning on hitting the lakes.

-Chad

snow!

Johnny D whats up? i really want to snowkite somewhere tomorrow! looks like if you head a little further south as opposed to west (Indian lake) they got more snow. That lake Spatsy posted on my previous forum for Saturday looks like it's in the area that got about 5-6" of snow. Anyone have any updates or good places to hit tomorrow on the snow? I'm up for whatever, just let me know the plan, or give me a call later.

Johnny! Haven't pumped my

Johnny! Haven't pumped my kites since I was on the water, been way too long. I was talking about snow. I've been up skiing a bunch and there are plenty of lakes up there, just no effing snow. You going to be trying to find some stashes of snow on a lake this weekend? Not so familiar with the 495 area but seems like there's got to be a lake somewhere close by with some snow.

Let me know,
Coop

Snowkited Long Pond

Snowkited at Long Pond in Freetown yesterday (Thurs), about 6 inches new snow over ice. steady 8-12 mph in the sunshine, from the North with about 2 miles of fetch upwind of us coming over the Pond. It was nice. Pics in the session report. Snow still on ground down here in SE Mass and southern 495 region. Drove through lots of bogs in Carver tonight at dusk and was wishing I could snowkite on those fields.

I am off all w/end but its supposed to stay warmer than 32f all w/end as well. Not sure Long Pond will be safe come Sun when the wind is to arrive, also Long Pond long axis is in the North/South direction!

Thinking Horseneck or Buzzards Bay on Sunday in the water.

Indian has snow but there is

Indian has snow but there is some wind blow ice, all the snow got deposited in the SE corner so if you don't mind riding close to the shore or planning your turns around the ice there is good times to be had here:) Ron and I will be there Sat AM, and I have covered more than 30 miles in the past two days so it can't be that bad:) I am seeing wind around 10mph so bring your big kite

Thanks for the update on

Thanks for the update on Indian. I think I might drive out there from Boston today to try for my first ride of the season. Is the ice pretty thick all-around, or any spots to avoid? Also, any tips on where to park? Thanks again.
