Sketchiest launches you've seen....
So I am curious, what are the sketchiest launches you have kited at? Lets have some photos if you have them so we can all judge!
My top two are:
1.) My cape house at high tide.

2.) Sherman Island, CA

Delta Park, Lake Champlain by far the worst thing I have ever seen. You can not self launch or land. And only have one or two kites set up at a time...
This is in my home town in France and in 2006 kites were not that safe either
Delta park is great!. all the sticks are small enough so that they don't really grab your lines usually. and once you get used to it slef launchiing is really not bad. the point forms a wind shadow so you can self launch off a log with a caribiner and its pretty easy or if its light just hot launch it. however when its onshore with a west it gets a little scary. and when the lake is high your kite goes up right next to a tree.
ok maybe its sketchy.
What about that launch spot down in Hatteras at one of the stores.. I think it was kittyhawk? Right inbetween two buildings with no actual beach.. Have to go down a ramp to launch. It wasn't horrible.. But not somewhere I'd go regularly to launch..
Yes, KittyHawk Kites in Rodanthe, wicked sketchy, full on mini tornados spinning in between those tall buildings. With all of the access that there is along the barrier island, why ever go there!..... Plus the rotting sea weed smells like manure.

That looks a lot like the launch at Sherman without the 100yard walk to the larger launch area (less kites able to be setup).
The island makes it look pretty fun, what's the wind direction at launch?
