SNOW!!!
We got 8" already of heavy wet snow and it is still snowing like mad:) May try Moosehorn before the rain. Any takers?
It's been warm, i saw on the news on mon that two peoplw have been pulled out of lakes in southern and mid MA, ice fishing and a snowmobiler.
I wonder if I broke through the ice while on a snowboard, If I could ride it over the water to safety?
This is for PRO's only and please don't try this @ home folks
It sounds like today's weather is a calamity for snow kiting around here in the near future...
anybody going north or west for the weekend snowkiting? there is like +20" out there!
I'm looking and they are predicting rain up there tomorrow...
just do it Bob.
Bob,
Sounds like a plan.....Chris and hit Ninigret on Tuesday to ride a good hour before the gusts came. 13M with 26-g34 was way too much for me. On a good note though, the water temp is easily tolerable now.
Any ideas what Quaboag's up to? If its slushy enough I am in for a little slush session on a board. We'll skim right across that stuff.......
What's up guys. I am really looking to get out and try snowkiting tomorrow. Aren't there any fields north west of the city that are covered with enough snow?

There was a great video I saw here, but don't know how to find it, of a guy riding on what looks like a river and he heads right for the open water and is jumping and riding no problem, but you have to have about 25-30 mph. I have done it on a field with a brook running through the middle pretty cool feeling every thing gets real smooth:) As far as ice safety there is still plenty of ice out here, Indian will still be safe but will be hard to get on if we get a lot of rain. The level of the lake will rise with a lot of rain making the ice float and the shore open up just need to take one giant step. There is 12-18" of ice no problem:)
