Bob, Ron and I are hitting Webster Lake today for a snowkite session (maybe Johnny D too)....possibly a downwinder too. We plan on parking in memorial beach park. shooting to be there around 9am. Wind is looking good!

That was one of the most

That was one of the most interesting adventures I have ever been on. All in all a great day even though my leading edge exploded. Can't wait for more snow:)

great day!

That was one adventure. from starting out with my pump up valve plug on my kite breaking trying to take it out to pump up the first time (luckily there was still a little nub left that still fit in to plug the valve, and the ozone velcro on top....but if anyone has an extra plug for an ozone (tho i think any brand will work, pump-up valves are pretty generic i think) i need a new one...to having to land and walk around the open water on our downwinder....my lines getting totally F'd up during the process (took about 45 minutes to detangle), to launching my kite after that about 50 yards downwind of my skiis (you ever try to walk up wind with your kite in the air on ice with ski boots?? well its not possible....thanks JD for the recommendation, lol, jk, well kind of) to Johnny D snapping a line on a his ski, to Bob blowing a leading edge, to me locking my keys in my car after the session with it already running (and an open high life sitting right in the back window of course, haha)....we all still had a great day. Then JohnnyD got in another good session on the Gypsy while i waited for a spare set of keys to arrive. got a few decent videos of that session ill try to post later. I cant remember the last time ive been this sore, my first two days of the year snowkiting in a row (and ive already been downhill skiing a bunch of times). we must have done 5-10 miles today counting all the tacking back and forth, but thats really just my guess. i also cant even imagine how awesome that place would be completely covered in snow! but thanks for a great session bob, ron and john....you all helped me in at least one way or another. to a great session, and more to come.

Pete you handled the day like a seasoned pro:) My GPS showed 23.2 miles we were covering alot of ground, ice, snow out there. Jean said he parked at Waterfront Mary's south of the Narrows I think we should park there next time so we don't have to deal with the water, snow coming on tues hoping Indian gets the jack pot:)

Is there enough snow to ride

Is there enough snow to ride a snowboard? Seems like there is a lot of ice showing through the snow.

On the down wind side of the

On the down wind side of the lake the snow was fantastic and there was no ice, the further you came out into the lake the larger the ice patches got making it alot of fun planning your turns. Out in the middle though was pretty much all ice.
